Welcome to The Intentionally Healthy Canine! To say that I am passionate about the health and well being of both humans and canines would be slightly understated. I desire for my dogs to live the best, longest and healthiest life possible.
My love for dogs started with our family dog, Buffy. I had a rabbit and guinea pigs (too many) that I nurtured and cared for, but nothing compared to having a dog for a companion. The ring bearers in our wedding were our dogs, Suma (an akita) and Max (a chocolate lab). Dogs are family members in this household.
The dog that I have learned the most from is our black lab, Rontu. After a year old, he developed very itchy skin and shed more than normal. I began giving him dietary supplements that helped tremendously and eventually started designing species specific meals for him. My love for learning how to improve a dog’s life took off from that point!
